General Assembly meeting 2014

General Assembly meeting 2014

You are welcome to the General Assembly (GA) meeting of Architecture Sans Frontières International Saturday 26 April 2014 at the Library of Vienna in the City Hall, Rathausstrasse, Stiege 6, Vienna (http://www.wienbibliothek.at/english/contact.html).

Each member organisation shall have a representative with the right to vote at the GA meeting. Members can be represented by another member by proxy. In such a case a message must be presented, showing who is representing which organisation. No member can represent more than two member organisations. Register for the GA by sending an email to Naomi Shinkins.

Do not forget to state which person is to have the voting right. Prospective members, interested persons or groups are also welcome to attend (without voting rights). Those who require visas must send copies of their passports and other details to AOG Austria (info@arch-og.at). Specify how many days you want the visa for. Each organisation is expected to pay its own travel and accommodation costs (with a few exceptions).

AOG-Austria will try to arrange cheap or free-of-charge accommodation. If you want support for travel costs, you must send a request to the Treasurer Rune Asholt. Only a small budget is available for travel support. The Annual Report for 2013, a proposal for an Activity Plan for 2014-2015, an economic report, instructions to find one’s way and other documents will be sent out later.

Members are invited to send motions to the GA. These must be sent to the Secretary no later than 28 of February 2014. The Board will then send out the proposals to all members, possibly with comment from the Board. A motion should formulate a proposal that the GA can take decision about. Member organisations and individuals belonging to such organisations are invited to nominate candidates to the Board to be elected at the GA meeting.

Send proposals to the Election Preparatory Committee, i.e. Richard Losalajome (arbeckines@yahoo.fr), Anna Synderå Engvall (annaengvall@gmail.com) and Stéphane Plisson (stephane.plisson@asffrance.org), Friday 25th of April will be devoted to a seminar. The program for this event will be sent out later. Sunday the 27th is set aside for guided tours and Monday the 28th ARC●PEACE will have its own GA meeting.
